Our history

WOOGROUP’s overriding raison d’etre is closely linked with the culture and personality of its three founders: Philippe ERB, Stéphane PEYRIGUER and Richard ESTEVE.

Philippe ERB, former banker and correspondent for Tracfin (a French Ministry of Finance service which fights money laundering)
Philippe ERB worked in the banking sector for 18 years as an Audit Director and then Branch Director. He is an expert in the areas of finance, team management and asset management.  And author of the best-selling “Tout savoir sur le Day Trading” (“Everything you need to know about Day Trading, published by Gualino).

Stéphane PEYRIGUER, an expert in new technologies
His technical expertise and experience of travelling throughout the world allow him to identify and support the development of new technologies for the benefit of mankind. His experience has given him the opportunity to always get closer to the people, thus allowing him to better assess their actual needs in terms of usage and technologies.
Stéphane PEYRIGUER is the man who knows how to take on the challenges of Woogroup’s international development.


Richard ESTEVE
, an expert in financial engineering, geopolitics and international relations
Richard ESTEVE is a visionary of the new world which brings a new perspective for the benefit of the poorest in the context of a world whose financial sector is changing.
His close relationship with Africa makes him aware of the monopoly of the money transfer giants in the world and their impact, particularly on African customers.
He rejects the injustice suffered by the recipients of money transfers and particularly those forgotten by the system: those without a bank account.
Richard ESTEVE advocates a system which is universal, interoperable and accessible to all.

WOOGROUP was born from a combination of the instinctive rejection of the economic model of the money transfer companies, of a marginality assumed by peoples’ need for freedom, of the rejection of the system, and of ethics bound together by the values of sharing and fairness.

WOOGROUP provides a community response in reaction to the world of the richest.

The consumer has become a nomad: he wants to access services “when, where and how he wants”.

It is therefore necessary to establish a network in the places where he conducts his life, and to contact him directly.

In developing WOOGROUP, its founders have surrounded themselves with the world’s leading experts, in order to create the new universal standard in the money transfer market, by connecting the 2 worlds, cash and electronic money, to make them accessible to all.

Our mission : to design the new world of financial services

Our mission is to design the new world of prepaid financial services between people.

From WOOGROUP’s perspective, new technologies make it possible to combine traditional cash with modern electronic money.

Our challenge is to turn the complexity of the two worlds into a simple and universal service standard capable of being used by the uninitiated.

To achieve this, our mission is to make the WOOCORE technology platform available to the banks so that they can easily and securely connect the 2 worlds of money transfer, cash and electronic money, to make them accessible to all.

Under the WOONEO brand, this universal simplicity allows the banks to develop new business, particularly with those without a bank account which it cannot otherwise reach.

Our mission is also to make the WOONEO brand available to the general public, to provide them with secure prepaid financial services based on the means at their disposal, via a bank and its nominated agents.

Finally, our mission is also to connect the world of banking and of those with bank accounts with that of those without a bank account who do not identify with the traditional banks and will never enter their doors.
